Arrived quickly and was simple to get going. Happy with it so far.

  • Benjamin S.12 September 2026

Dad is in his eighties and not keen on complicated gadgets. He manages this one fine. The display is easy for him to read and he likes keeping an eye on his numbers.

  • Laura P.12 August 2026

My husband and I both use it. We keep a little log to show the practice nurse, and it's been handy to have those readings ready rather than trying to remember them.

  • Emma C.5 August 2026

I took mine to my GP appointment to compare readings with the machine at the surgery. They were very close on that occasion, which was reassuring. I still follow my doctor's advice on how and when to measure.

  • James C.31 July 2026

Easy to set up and the screen is clear. Does exactly what I wanted.

I took the Vitaltrack Pro with me to a routine appointment because I wanted to make sure I was using it correctly. The nurse showed me where the cuff should sit and compared a few readings. Very helpful, and I feel more confident using it now.

  • Sarah M.2 July 2026

Bought the Vitaltrack Pro for my dad, who's 78. He was a bit unsure about using it at first, but the buttons are straightforward and he now checks his blood pressure on his own most mornings.

  • Rebecca H.25 June 2026

We bought this after Dad's nurse suggested keeping a record of his readings at home. He uses it in the morning and writes the numbers in a notebook for his appointments. The instructions were helpful.

  • Charlotte E.2 June 2026

I was nervous about buying a monitor online, but this has been easy to use. I brought it along to the doctor's office and the readings were similar when we checked under the same conditions. It's useful having a way to keep track between visits.

  • Sophie H.16 May 2026

I've had the Vitaltrack Pro for a few weeks now. It's become part of my morning routine. I like that I can sit down, take a reading and jot it down without much fuss. I did have to read the cuff instructions carefully the first time.

  • Thomas W.16 May 2026

Accuracy was OK, seemed to have a slightly cheap feel. No issues with it.

  • Daniel B.4 May 2026

Nice monitor. The cuff took me a couple of tries to position properly, but after that it was straightforward.

  • Matthew P.29 April 2026

Straightforward monitor. I'd buy it again.

  • David M.18 April 2026

Works well for us. Good-sized screen.

  • Olivia B.18 April 2026

My mum wanted something she could use without asking for help every time. She's been getting on well with the Vitaltrack Pro, especially the large display. A good purchase for our family.

  • Hannah C.14 April 2026

Purchased for Mum's birthday, although it's definitely more practical than exciting! She says it's comfortable enough and likes being able to check at home instead of making an extra trip out.

  • Andrew F.27 March 2026

Bought for my elderly father. He's comfortable using it without me being there, which was the main thing.

  • Christopher R.22 March 2026

The first reading seemed a little high, so I sat quietly and tried again as the instructions suggested. It's easy enough to operate once you know the routine.

Best for AFib screening

Microlife WatchBP Home A BT

Pick it if your GP wants you screened for atrial fibrillation. More clinical to use, and costs more.

Why we like it: AFib screening, guided routine.
Keep in mind: More clinical, costs more.

  • Fiona C.17 September 2026

The nurse asked me to bring my monitor to my next check-up. We compared a few readings, allowing time between them, and they were reassuringly close. That gave me more confidence in the numbers I was recording at home.

  • Daniel W.28 August 2026

Bought this to keep an eye on my blood pressure between appointments. It feels like a proper medical device, though I wish it took up a bit less room in the drawer.

  • Helen M.17 August 2026

My mum wanted something she could use without hunting through menus. After I showed her the routine once, she started keeping her own morning readings in a notebook. The display is clear enough for her to read without glasses.

  • Simon B.13 July 2026

Solid, straightforward monitor. The readings are easy to see and I like not having to depend on a phone app. The cuff feels a little stiff at first.

  • Louise H.2 July 2026

I found the process more fiddly than the description suggested. It may suit someone who already knows how to take their blood pressure, but I struggled to get consistent results without help.

  • Graham E.16 June 2026

I wanted a monitor I could leave at home for my parents rather than keep lending them mine. They both managed it after a quick demonstration, which was the main thing I was looking for.

  • Peter L.30 May 2026

It does the job, but getting the cuff positioned comfortably took more practice than I expected. I would have liked a simpler quick-start guide.

  • Rachel F.21 April 2026

Dad is 79 and was sceptical about using a machine at home. Now he checks his pressure before breakfast and writes it on the calendar. It's become part of his routine.

I was mainly interested in the app features. Unfortunately the syncing has been unreliable on my phone, and I've had to reconnect it more than once. The monitor still works, but that defeats the reason I chose this model.

  • Andrew K.18 July 2026

My wife and I both use it and appreciate being able to keep our results separate. It has encouraged us to check at regular times rather than only when we remember.

  • Martin A.10 July 2026

The monitor itself seems well made, but pairing it with my phone took several attempts. Once connected, it was fine. I just expected setup to be quicker.

  • Sophie R.28 June 2026

Took it along to my practice nurse to make sure I was using it correctly. She adjusted how I was sitting and showed me where the cuff should go. My readings became much steadier after that.

  • Oliver B.2 June 2026

Good clear screen and a reassuringly sturdy feel. It's not the smallest unit to pack for a trip, but for use at home that's not much of a problem.

  • Caroline P.20 May 2026

I like having my readings stored on my phone instead of scraps of paper. It's made it much easier to show my GP how things have changed over several weeks.

  • James H.7 May 2026

After a month of use I have a much better picture of my usual readings. I particularly appreciate being able to look back at trends instead of trying to remember individual numbers.

  • Thomas W.20 April 2026

Plenty of useful features, perhaps more than I actually need. The cuff can feel quite tight during inflation, although the measurement is over quickly.

  • Claire D.6 April 2026

The instructions could be friendlier for someone who isn't confident with technology. My dad can take a reading, but the connected features are beyond what he wants to deal with.

  • Rebecca H.25 March 2026

We bought it for my father after he was asked to check his blood pressure at home. The cuff is easier for him to put on than the one he used previously, and he can read the screen without asking for help.

  • Edward S.7 July 2026

Easy to take away for weekends and the rechargeable battery is handy. I needed to read the instructions carefully the first time I fitted the cuff, but it's been straightforward since.

  • Victoria S.23 May 2026

I wanted something I wouldn't mind leaving out on the bedside table. The compact design is a bonus, and seeing the results appear in my health app makes tracking them feel effortless.

  • Melissa R.6 May 2026

I love the idea of a connected monitor, but the initial Wi-Fi setup was more awkward than I'd hoped. Once it was running, the measurements were simple enough; I'm just not sure the extra technology is worth it for me.

Home blood pressure monitor questions

Is a home monitor as good as the one at my GP's?A validated upper-arm monitor, used correctly, gives readings your GP can use. Bring your readings to your appointment.
Wrist or upper arm?Upper-arm monitors are generally recommended for home use. All five here are upper-arm.
What cuff size do I need?Measure around the middle of your upper arm and check it falls inside the cuff's range.
How often should I check my blood pressure?Follow your GP's advice. Many people take two readings morning and evening for a week before an appointment.

How we chose the best blood pressure monitors

We compared each monitor's published validation, features, warranty and price, then put every one through our 10-point checks: from clinical validation and cuff fit to how readable the screen is for older eyes.

Getting an accurate reading

  1. Sit for five minutes. Back supported, feet flat, no talking.
  2. Cuff on bare skin. Upper arm, at heart level, resting on a table.
  3. Take two readings. A minute apart, morning and evening.
  4. Share with your GP. They'll tell you what your numbers mean.
