About these terms
These terms govern your use of the MedsCompass publication, including its reviews, rankings, comparisons, device directory, safety feed, newsletter and contact features. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. Additional terms from a retailer, connected store, email provider or linked service apply separately when you use that service.
Information, not medical advice
MedsCompass provides general educational and product-comparison information. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, emergency advice or a substitute for a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional. A product that scores well may still be unsuitable for a particular person, condition or setting. Follow the current manufacturer instructions and seek professional advice where a decision could affect health or safety. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.
How reviews and scores should be read
A score is an editorial assessment produced from the evidence and testing described on the relevant page. We distinguish controlled measurements, simulator work, extended use, documentary evidence and manufacturer claims, but every method has limits. Rankings compare products within a defined framework and should not be treated as a clinical guarantee, regulatory approval or promise of an individual outcome. Reviews may be corrected or rescored as better evidence becomes available.
Prices, availability and product information
Prices, stock, specifications, warranties, software features, regulatory status and seller terms can change after publication. Check the current product page, labelling and instructions before relying on them. A link or price displayed by MedsCompass is not an offer by MedsCompass to sell the product. The contract for a purchase is with the retailer or connected store identified during checkout.
Commercial links and editorial independence
Some retailer links may be affiliate or advertising links and may generate revenue if a visitor purchases. Commercial relationships do not purchase a score, ranking or favourable conclusion. Sponsored material should be identified, and the advertising disclosure forms part of these terms. Tracking used to measure an eligible referral is described in the privacy and cookie policies.
Permitted use
You may view the site, print or save a reasonable extract for personal use, and share links or brief quotations with clear attribution. Unless we give written permission, you may not reproduce substantial parts of the publication, republish a review or database, systematically scrape content, train a commercial model on the content, remove ownership notices or use MedsCompass branding in a way that suggests endorsement.
Prohibited activity
Do not attempt unauthorised access, probe security, introduce malicious code, overload the service, evade technical restrictions, manipulate scores or forms, impersonate another person, submit unlawful material or use automated systems in a way that harms the site or other users. We may restrict access, preserve evidence and report suspected unlawful activity where reasonably necessary.
Intellectual property and product marks
Unless otherwise stated, MedsCompass owns or licenses the site’s original text, graphics, photographs, scoring presentation, compilation and design. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary. No ownership or endorsement by those rights holders is implied.
External websites and safety notices
Links and regulatory feeds can lead to services we do not control. We are not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices or transactions. Summaries of recalls and safety notices are provided for convenience; the linked regulator or manufacturer notice is the authoritative source and should be read in full.
Messages and submissions
If you send a correction, comment or evidence, you confirm that you are entitled to send it and that it is not unlawful or misleading. You retain ownership of original material, but give us permission to review, store and use it to respond, investigate or improve an article. We will not knowingly publish your personal contact details without permission unless law requires disclosure.
Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep MedsCompass available and secure but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may maintain, change, suspend or withdraw a feature, article or link. We may update these terms when the service or law changes; the version shown on this page applies from its stated date.
Responsibility and legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, MedsCompass is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from use of this free publication, for a retailer’s acts, or for a decision made contrary to professional or manufacturer guidance.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, while any mandatory rights you have where you live remain unaffected. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute.
